Is the internet secure?
No it isn´t! Other people can read your e-mails and other stuff. Except you use special programs!
Can it be made secure?
Yes, it can be made quite secure, for example it you use firewalls, proxy servers or not to “simple” passwords. You also should encrypt messages or mails. Never save passwords on your PC. You should use https to connect to websites where you are required to provide personal or bank information.
What are the dangers?
Hackers can intrude into your system and destruct your data or change things on your harddisk. Other dangers are viruses and people spying at your e-mails.
How can information be protected?
Use PGP or SSL. Encode your mails. Encrypt your messages or for example you can take firewall, proxy servers and many other thinks. Don´t save your password on your computer.
